San Fu Moxa is a preventative practice in Chinese medicine that dates back to the Qing Dynasty, based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of "treat Winter diseases in the Summer". It is the topical application of an herbal paste that are placed on various acupuncture points on the 3 most Yang days of the Summer, according to the lunar calendar. This herbal prescription helps to boost immunity and build Yang in the body for stronger body defenses when Winter comes.

What To Expect
The herbal paste is mixed and placed on acupuncture points chosen based on your condition and constitution.
The paste should be removed after 2 hours (or less if more sensitive).
**The herbal paste may cause skin redness, irritation, rash, blistering, increased pigmentation or slight fever.**
Avoid vigorous exercise and exposure of the patched areas to drafts/cold for the rest of the day.
Avoid seafood, spicy and fried foods for the duration of treatment (between July 21 - August 10).
