About me
Our physical and emotional health are benefited by a harmonious approach, trusting the intelligence of our body to heal itself with help from acupuncture, herbs and a healthy lifestyle.
Mandi Trimas, MATCM, L.Ac, Dipl. Ac, of Blue Horizon Acupuncture, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of Oregon, as well as nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture through NCCAOM. Mandi graduated from Yo San University in Southern California where she earned her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine under the lineage of the Ni Family. She completed her internship and externship at Yo San University Blount Clinic and Venice Family Pain Clinic with a focus on pain management.
Mandi believes our physical and emotional health are benefited by a harmonious approach, trusting the intelligence of our body to heal itself with help from acupuncture, herbs and a healthy lifestyle. She believes her role is to assist her patients’ body in their own inherent healing processes through the use of Acupuncture, Herbs, Cupping, Tui Na (Chinese Massage), Guasha, Moxa, Nutrition, Medical Qi Gong, and InfiniChi (Energy Work).
Mandi’s journey with acupuncture began when she sought treatment for her dog’s physical ailments. After trying acupuncture herself, she discovered a whole new world of healing she had never known. Caring for a loved one with chronic health issues while holding the role of hospice nurse, profoundly shaped her approach to patient care. As she continues to grow and learn as a practitioner, Mandi is passionate about treating acute and chronic pain, internal medicine issues, stress and anxiety, and women’s menstrual health.
During her free time, Mandi enjoys physical movement through yoga, walking on a slackline, trying something she’s never done before, eating healthy food and finding moments of laughter and silliness.
