If you have been knowingly exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing fever or respiratory symptoms, such as dry cough and flu-like symptoms, you are encouraged to contact your provider with details of your situation as your appointment may need to be rescheduled at your provider's discretion.
Our clinic is not equipped to appropriately handle respiratory emergencies and does not conduct testing for possible coronavirus. Please call your physician, your nearest urgent care facility, or 911 if an emergency. For more information about COVID-19, click here.
What should I expect BEFORE my appointment?
- If you are a *new* patient, you will be emailed forms to complete. All forms must be completed prior to your appointment.
What should I expect when I arrive for an appointment?
- The Oregon Health Authority has decided to lift the public mask mandate for the required use of masks in healthcare settings from April 3, 2023. Until this date, masks are REQUIRED while in the clinic and during treatments.
While the use of masks at Ikigai Wellness will no longer be required as of April 3, 2023, I ask that you consider continuing to wear a mask in the clinic as we often serve sensitive and chronically ill patients.
Things to Note:
Your provider may request that you wear a mask during your treatment if spending a significant portion of your treatment around your head (for work on the neck and craniosacral therapy). - Two HEPA + UV air filters are always on in the clinic.
- If the treatment room door is closed, please have a seat in the front waiting room. One HEPA air filter is on in the waiting room.
- NFC contactless payment option is available. Credit/Debit cards are accepted as well.
What happens between appointments?
- Long before the pandemic, treatment room disinfection between appointments has always been priority. Treatment room sanitization remains the same: linens are stripped and the pillows/bolsters and treatment table are disinfected with high medical grade disinfecting wipes.
- All tools used during treatments, chairs and the tub holding your belongings and high touch surfaces (door knobs, tables, etc) are disinfected with high medical grade disinfectant wipes.
